It's Time Illinois
participated along with over 300 other activists in Equality
Illinois "Equality Begins at Home - 2001 Lobby Day"
on March 28, 2001. The day was a celebration of the passage of
HB101, the trans-inclusive LGBT Nondiscrimination Bill, in the
House on the day before, and the beginning of the lobbying effort
in the Illinois Senate. On Wednesday, November
28, a candlelight vigil was held at the Thompson Center Plaza
in Chicago as part of a nationally-coordinated Transgender Day
of Remembrance. Over 100 people attended the vigil, the largest
